First Belize with Children

A Cayo lodge for caves, night walks and canoes, then Caye Caulker or Ambergris for rays, turtles and short boat rides.

Overview

Two bases, short transfers, and something every day that children will talk about. The first half is a river lodge in Cayo: cave tubing, a jungle night walk, the ATM cave if they're old and tall enough. The second half is the reef: a caye where the snorkel boats are short and the evenings are easy.

We'll be straight with you about July and August: they're school holidays and the start of hurricane season. They usually work well, and we'll tell you how we hedge.

A river lodge in Cayo, down the Hummingbird Highway to Garifuna Hopkins, then out to South Water Caye or Glover's Reef.
